Healing Stories: Huge Goals and They’re Not Coming True? What do we do now?

Huge goals? And they’re not coming true? What do we do now?

Setting huge goals can be exciting and fun at the same time. To fantasize about having $1 million in the bank, or losing 150 pounds, or finding the love of your life is absolutely one of the reasons we are here on earth. To experience our full potential.

But what happens if you have huge goals and you’re not seeing any progress?

For the past 28 years, number one best-selling author, counselor and life coach David Essel has been helping people to create incredibly persistent and determined mindsets in order to make their biggest goals their reality.

Here are tips from David in order to help you to stay on path, even if your goals don’t seem to be coming to fruition.

“It can be so frustrating, disheartening, to finally get excited about accomplishing a huge goal with weight loss, or love, or money, or maybe starting your own business and not seeing any fruits for your labor for the first two months, six months or even 25 years.

What? Even 25 years? If you have a big goal and you haven’t seen the results you want for 25 years should you even keep moving forward? And the answer is, if the goal is important to you never, ever, ever give up.

I often share with my clients the story of Colonel Sanders, from Kentucky fried chicken, who made his first financial breakthrough at the age of 68!

He had started with the idea of his famous chicken recipe when he was young man and never gave up. In his 80s he became a billionaire.

In my own life, I started writing books almost 22 years ago. Every one of the books that I wrote I wanted to become a number one bestseller. But for 21 years, I never hit the bestsellers list, until my ninth book was released and we went to number one!

But because I was doing what I love I never even once thought about stopping. I continued to write even though my books never gained the huge momentum that I’d hoped they would. And eventually the payoff was huge.

So let’s take a look at some super simple tips to follow when you have a huge goal but your not seeing a positive end result… Yet.

Number one. Write out all the reasons why you want your goal to come to fruition. How will it change your life? How will you feel when you accomplish this goal? Get it down in specifics.

Number two. Surround yourself with people smarter, better, and more successful than you. Just having their energy around you as you chat on a weekly basis will help you stay on the path to achieving your biggest goals.

Number three. Get an accountability partner… Today! Hire a coach, counselor, financial advisor, personal trainer, nutritionist or whatever you need to help you stay on the path and go through the tough times until your goal is actually met .

Number four. Set up daily, not weekly, not monthly, but daily action steps that you need to follow in regards to your goal. Put it in writing. It must be specificly measurable and timelined. You need to know what you’re going to be doing, from when to when 5 to 6 days a week, if it’s a big goal. If you put in less time than this? Drop the goal. It’s not worth it. Because you’re not serious.

If you follow the above steps, I’m not guaranteeing that your goal will become a reality in the next six months or six years, but I will guarantee, by following these tips you’ll have what it takes to hang in there as long as it takes in order to see your goal come into your life. It’s exciting. You’re worth it. But only if you work your butt off.”

David has helped people with huge goals in life from becoming a millionaire, to losing 130 pounds and keeping it off for 17 years, and he has helped other clients as well to find a deep rewarding path to God, and free themselves from addictions of over 30 years.

Healing Stories: A 240 Pound Weight Loss?

Imagine this. You’re 240 pounds overweight… and suffering. Mentally. Physically. And maybe even spiritually.

You know you have to do something about your situation but where do you begin? Go to the gym? Are you kidding me? Looking like this?

You know the long-term consequences are terrible. Every disease known to man increases for the person carrying this much weight.

And then the day comes that you face your greatest fears. In a wheelchair you’re pushed into a gym. Will the transformation begin today? Can you really do this?

Number one best-selling author, counselor, life coach and radio host, David Essel, has had the opportunity to interview thousands of people over the past 27 years… And one of the most impactful and empowering individuals David has ever interviewed is Evelyn Keiling

Evelyn is a warrior. A spiritual warrior. A physical warrior. A mental warrior. And an inspiration for millions of people around the world.

David loves Evelyn and the story she brings. Her perseverance. Her persistence.

And what about you? Whatever our mountain is to carry, whatever our goal is to achieve, are we willing to be like Evelyn Keiling and do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to make it happen?

Here it is in David’s words.

“I was introduced to Evelyn a number of years ago when I heard her story about losing 240 pounds! That’s two people she lost! I had to have her on my national radio show. And the interview was more powerful than I could ever believe.

She began by answering the question “do you think you’re weight gain is based on genetics?” She laughed and said no. My weight gain was based on me. As it is for most people who are overweight, genetics plays a very tiny part of the percentage of people who are overweight and or obese.

Evelyn made up her mind one day that she was going to change. And she did the hard work. Radically changing her diet, going on a nutritional cleanse, and beginning her exercise program. Not once during the interview did she ever say that the beginning years were easy. But she did say it was worth it.

While she was doing her nutritional cleanse she found out what it meant to eat a clean healthy diet. Lean protein. Vegetables. Fruit. Complex carbohydrates. She researched everything imaginable in the world and began going into the gym. Can you imagine walking into the gym 240 pounds overweight? Or let me correct myself, being wheeled in a wheelchair into the gym 240 pounds overweight?

This is why I call my friend Evelyn Keiling a major warrior. Nothing would get in her way to accomplish the goals that she had in mind. Here’s some more fascinating statistics about Evelyn. She did this in her late 40s early 50s. Not only that, she went a step further and in her 50s became a bodybuilder!

And along the way here’s an important part of Evelyn story. She didn’t do it alone. She had a support team. She hired individuals to motivate her, inspire her, and teach her the new way of living that she had to adapt and adopt immediately if she wanted to live.

And the story gets better. What?  The story can get better? Hell yes. She ends up walking on stage in a body transformation competition in Las Vegas in front of 15,000 screaming fans. Everything came to this point and the reward was amazing.

But wait! The story doesn’t stop here! What she learned in her body transformation was going to be needed last year when she was diagnosed with cancer. She used the same warrior mentality to face head on a disease that is brutal. And she’s winning.

I love Evelyn Keiling because of what she represents to all of us. She is our hope. She is a role model. I want you to take your goals as serious as Evelyn does, for you to walk away at the top of the mountain.”

In his 27 years as a counselor and a life coach, David Essel has been involved with many people like Evelyn Keiling. Individuals who at first didn’t think their massive goal of recovery, or weight loss, or saving a marriage after an affair, or tripling their income, or becoming an entrepreneur later in life could ever be achieved. But he’s walked hand-in-hand with all these people up the mountain to massive success.

You can do this too, even if you don’t believe it today. But you’ll need a counselor, coach, personal trainer, minister, financial expert… You’ll need a team around you in order to achieve massive goals. You’ll need to invest more time, effort and money… And it will be so worth it!

Never give up on yourself. Go now.

Huge Goal For 2017?… Read this.

Huge Goal For 2017?… Read this.
It’s 1986. I’m speaking at a large fitness conference, in a round table of other business and fitness experts. The audience is totally tuned in to what each of us are saying… And then one guy who I never met speaks up. His name was Joe Cirulli .

I didn’t know his full story, and was blown away when I found out that here was a guy who was homeless… Living in his car… Who now sitting in front of us as a millionaire in an industry people say you can’t make money. He owns health clubs.

When the presentation was over he actually came to me, and congratulated me on a job well done. I couldn’t believe it. Here he had accomplished all of these great things in life, and I was basically six years into my career and he was telling me I did a good job.

I knew I had to get to know this guy… And within a very short period of time I was asking him for advice… And learning more than I could ever believe. Eventually, I was proud to call Joe one of the greatest mentors I’ve ever had.

I’ll never forget when I asked him one day what the secret to ongoing business success was… And he said “David you’ll never accomplish anything huge on your own… You really need to get involved with mastermind groups, consultants and coaches to make sure that you’re doing everything possible to be successful.”

From that day forward I took his advice and he’s always right on.

How about you? Do you have a huge goal for 2017? Do you have a team of people in place to help you? Consultants? Coaches? Mentors? Mastermind groups?

If you don’t… I can almost guarantee you the goal will not be achieved. We need people to inspire us… Hold our feet to the fire… In other words a hold us accountable.

For most of us, the human brain is not powerful enough to keep us on track. If it was, you and I right now would have every goal we’ve ever intended to have.

But it’s not that easy is it?

To make this year different… You must invest more time more energy and more money into your growth. It’s simple just not easy.

But don’t fool yourself and think that this is going to be the year of you… If you think you’re going to do it on your own. If you could’ve done it on your own you already would’ve done it. Proof, that we need outside help.

If I can help you, I would love to. For 26 years I’ve helped thousands of people as a counselor and a life coach to accomplish the most incredible dreams they ever could’ve imagined in their life.

From losing 120 pounds and keeping it off, to recovering from multiple addictions, helping couples after an affair create deep love, helping individuals who have never owned a house… To get their financial situation in order so they could finally buy their first home ever… And the list goes on and on.

Write down your goals. Then bring someone into your life like myself to hold you accountable. If you’re serious, visit my website or text our office at 941.266.7676

I’m excited for you. 2017 can be the year of you. To accomplish anything you want, or just about anything you want, you’ll need outside help. Commit to you. Commit to you now. You will forever be grateful to yourself… For following the advice given to me 30 years ago by my friend and mentor Joe.

Wishing you the best for 2017. David Essel

2017… Is This Your Year?

2017… Is this your year?

For many people, 2016 absolutely sucked. For other people it was a massive breakthrough. For the most part, this coming year, 2017, whether it’s sucks or it’s awesome will be up to you and me to decide.

What will you decide? And it won’t be from your thought process. The outcome is never decided by what you think, or you intend to, or you affirm…the decision is only proved true by what you do on a daily basis.

I’m halfway home. Halfway to the end of my life. This year was a fairly big one for me as I turned 60 years old. I plan on living to 120 years of age or older. I have a lot of life left. I have a lot to learn. I’m open to learning. How about you?

2016 was an incredible learning year for me. An adventure. Some incredible success that I’ve never accomplish before in my life, as well as some failures. Some choices I made that didn’t work in the direction I’d hoped.

But I can tell you this. We’re dying. Every day we are closer to death.

Which makes this post incredibly important for you. Are you living? Are you truly living? Is life filled with adventure? Joy? In other words are you taking risks, large risks every week? If not. You’re dying. Right now. In front of your own eyes.

You can change this. Only you can. Your husband or wife can’t. Your parents can’t. Your siblings can’t. Your best friend can’t. Even God can’t. Not because he wouldn’t like to. But because of the concept of free will.

This is where it gets great. You have the free will to do whatever the hell you want in 2017 that will make your life exciting, joyful, fulfilling.

Or if you’re like most Americans, you’ll continue to repeat the same food, the same exercise or lack of, the same substances of addiction, or behaviors of addiction, or thoughts of addictions and 2017 will be just like every other year in your life. It will truly suck. At least compared to what you could be doing, experiencing, giving, serving and loving.

The coolest thing about 2017 is it’s up to you. And it’s up to me. I have to get out of my own damn way. Make sure I’m getting advice from smart people, follow their advice, and kick ass. How about you?

Or stay a victim? And say that you’d love to have an exciting life but you don’t have the money? Or the body? The love? The faith? The dedication? The perseverance?

All the above are statements that victims love to live in.

What about you? Are you one of those people who say “David, the reason I drink every day is because I’ve gone through hell in my life. The reason I’m overweight David is my genetics. Which is absolute bullshit if you want the honest truth. The reason I don’t have a love relationship I want David is because men are all dogs, or women are all only after one thing, my money.”

If this is too “in your face” that could be the sign of a victim. If this seems to be calling you out, and you don’t like it, that is awesome! The greatest teachers in my life happen to be ones they got in my face, and my gut, and made me think. Made me work. Made me kick my own ass. Because no one else is going to do it for me.

I’ve gone through divorce twice. Addiction recovery twice. Bankruptcy. Foreclosure. Incredible health scares. I’ve had who I consider my best friends betray me. Several of them. I’ve had former lovers steal money from me.

But that is not going to have any effect whatsoever on what I do or don’t do in 2017. Unless I choose to fall back into victim hood and blame all of these people for the fact that I’ve been treated poorly, hence don’t have to do what it takes to be successful.

And guess what? There’s not one damn freaking person in this world that is powerful enough to keep me stuck in the past.

How about you? Are you going to join me? Are you going to invest time and money and effort into your growth? Your career? Your body? Your relationships? Your attitude?

Because if you do… 2017 will be the year of you! Amazing! Powerful! Fulfilling! Joyful!

But if you’re like most Americans, you’ll go back into blaming other people for the fact that you are not living the life that you really truly want.

The choice is yours. The choice is mine. Jump on the bandwagon with me. Make a decision that you’re willing to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to create the money, body, love life, relationship with God or achieve any other goal that you want.

It takes a hell of a lot of dedication and work, perseverance and effort, to create the life that will thrill you.

I want everything. I will get everything I want. I want you to have the same attitude, the same mindset. If I can help you at all gosh darn it, let me know when and I will.

I’m here to serve. To be a lifter of spirits. And to have a hell of a great time. 2017 is my year. I want you to have the same attitude.
