Are you a conformist during this pandemic? Or a non-conformist?
The world seems absolutely insane, doesn’t it?
The pandemic is throwing people into a tizzy, not only creating health scares but also creating all kinds of unneeded drama, chaos, and dysfunction.
So, do you want to be a conformist or non-conformist during this pandemic?
Below, David Essel, a number one best-selling author, counselor, and minister describes the difference between being a conformist or a non-conformist in the age we are living in.
”The pandemic has created so much insanity, and many people who believe that they are “non-conformists“, have become total conformists in life.
How do you know which side of the fence you sit on? Let’s take a look at some of the examples.
Here’s what a conformist is doing during the pandemic:
Number One. Stay attached to the news 12 hours a day. The conformists in this country, are all about staying updated on the news, conspiracy theories, racial issues, presidential election issues… All conformists right now have become addicted to the media.
Number Two. When you look on social media and you see people arguing to the death, those are what are called “conformists“.
The conformist has to be seen as “correct“, they can’t have it any other way. The conformist has no idea what it means to “agree to disagree“, they just go for the jugular because they believe they’re right and they want you to believe they’re right.
So conformists in our country right now are consumed by mass consciousness. Their neighbors are talking about all of the insanity so they must talk about it. The conformists don’t have a mind of their own, they’re just jumping on the next bandwagon of some “expert”, or some “conspiracy theorist expert”, and they’re running with it. But they don’t have the ability to think on their own.
Now, what do “non-conformist“ look like during this pandemic?
Number One. They’ve totally detached from mainstream media. The non-conformist has no interest in watching television. They have no interest in reading detailed articles in the news, newspaper, blogs, or magazines, that continue to take them down the rabbit hole of insanity.
Number Two. The non-conformists are not arguing on social media. They are observing dogs, cats, nature, flowers… There’s not much to argue back with those types of engagements is there?
Number Three. They’re independent thinkers. They’re not going with the crowd. They’re not around water coolers or texting or on the phone bitching and complaining about all the conspiracy in the world right now.
Number Four. The non-conformists are taking care of their mental health, physical health, and they’re separating themselves from mass consciousness, they’re separating themselves from the conformists listed above, it doesn’t mean that they’re kicking them out of their life, but they’re just disengaging, they’re not getting into discussions anymore with these people.
As a non-conformist myself, it can be quite challenging keeping our boundaries, because most of the country is filled with conformists, people that want to argue, people that want to debate… It’s quite an insane time here especially for the non-conformists.
Recently in the gym, a guy that works out, that I see daily, started coming up to me and sharing all these conspiracy theories. He had a smartphone out saying “look at this and look at this and look at this… “. It was all nonsense. Like most conformist, he’s become addicted to the latest research, the latest drama, the latest chaos in our media is more than happy to fill his brain and all other conformists brains with all of this insanity daily.
I had told him the week before that I had no interest in talking to him about any of that stuff, and if he came up to me again it would be the last time that we would speak. I did it very calmly, no anger, just the facts.
And when he came up yesterday trying to fill my head with some kind of nonsense, I shut it down immediately. There’s no need to go into that insanity. I’m very grounded, very happy as a matter of fact, and I want you to reach the same levels of contentment right now during the pandemic.
if you’re willing to walk away from mass consciousness, if you’re willing to become an independent person, now is the time to do it… Become a non-conformist, cut out the news, the media, social media, and arguing or discussing with anyone all of these insane philosophies.
Non-conformists are reading spiritual books, personal growth books, then watching webinars on how to be powerful during the pandemic, in other words, they’re filling their mind with all things that are healthy, they’re in society to make a difference not to bring other people down.
