With the world still upside down, there are so many mental health challenges that millions of people are going through every day, and I want to reach out and let people know through these writings that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Today we’re going to discuss depression, depression that can easily be caused by the amount of stress that we’ve all gone through, lack of hope, a lack of drive, and depression that can lead to apathy.
Apathy is probably one of the worst emotional states we could be in. “We just don’t care anymore.“
When people struggle with depression their energy levels drop, their frustration can be right on the surface 24 hours a day, they can struggle with sleep, many people start overeating, over-drinking, and some people go in the opposite direction where they begin to eat less and they lose more weight than might be healthy for them at this time.
In 1990, my life came crashing down to a complete halt when I was diagnosed suicidal with a deep clinical depression that had not been treated for years.
I know the battle I went through to save my own life. I had therapists and a psychiatrist that brought me out of the depths of hell, and what I learned during my own experience in 1990 I was able to bring forward and create programs and seminars helping people to understand the origin and the solution for the depression we may be going through right now.
Here are a few simple key steps to keep in mind if you feel that you or a loved one are in a depressed state right now:
Number One. If you feel suicidal at all do not hesitate for a second! Call your doctor, call 911, or get a ride to the emergency room of the closest hospital right away.
Number Two. Take a look at your lifestyle choices. Are you going to bed early enough? First thing in the morning are you creating rituals around reading and listening to uplifting information?
Number Three. Be very aware of the amount of alcohol you drink or cigarettes you smoke or sugar that you eat or pot that you inhale… All of these can momentarily numb the pain, but the depression just keeps growing deeper and deeper without making some of these positive lifestyle changes.
Number Four. Exercise can help release, even six 10 minute walks a day, positive endorphins in the brain to help momentarily lift us from depression.
It can take a while if you’re in a deep clinical depression like I was. I was working with a therapist for a year and finally learned the emotional tools necessary to be proactive when I start to feel in a downstate versus letting it fester and grow.
Over the past 40 years, we have helped millions of people redirect their mindset, with amino acid supplementation, emotional regulation exercises, cognitive behavioral therapy and so much more to be able to minimize the effects of depression and then of course to heal ourselves.
If you’re struggling with depression you can work with me in one of two ways:

I remember quite well when I was in my deep clinical depression‘s the feelings of hopelessness, that there’s no way out, and that I’ll never feel normal again.
I can also sit here today and tell you that all of those thoughts were erased when I started doing the work that I now teach.
And I look forward to helping you, as so many millions of people are struggling with mental health today. There is hope. There is a better future. I look forward to helping you get there.
Love,
